Update on skill voucher

This is inform all that GSDM is likely to issue skill vouchers in next financial year. There is liklihood that in all around 20000 skill vouchers of value between Rs 2500 to Rs 5000 would be issued this financial year which would be available to all the elligible institutes:
Kindly note following type of institutes are elligible
1.     Institutes recognised or empaneled  by  Government of Gujarat department / body /GCVT/  NCVT :  To make it more clear : Institutes recognised by GKS, UMEED, DRDA, RSETI, RUDSETI, Tribal department, CED, NSDC etc. Separate affiliation with GCVT or NCVT is not needed.2.      Institutes recognised by or running projects of Central Government or any department of Government of Gujarat But just being eligible is not enough the institute need to complete certain formalities to get proper skill voucher status on the portal. The process is simple but mandatory.
Once GSDM publicise the scheme it is possible that you may miss the bus becuase of shortage of time. Accordingly it is highly advised that if you are interested in taking benefit of the skill vouchers the first thing that you must do is get the proper skill voucher status for the institute. GSDM will be issuing skill vouchers to the institutes in order of the existing employability index of the institutes. So it is not only important to register and upload the data but also update the placement else you might loose on skill vouchers.
The details are in FAQ at following link but for convienence it is reproduced below.
First kindly register with the portal.
1.     Upload and update the list of candidates trained by you in last one year.
2.     Get an account with Axis bank (The list of banks will be expanded lateron. But presently the payments will be made only through AXIS banks hence it is a mandatory provision)
3.     Login on the portal and request for the desired skill voucher status after uploading the required documents. This can be done by editing your institutes profile on the protal.
4.     In addition to this Download the format of application from portal 
5.     Then approach to GSDM (Floor1, Block 16, Udyaog Bhavan, Gandhinagar) with relevant documents ie proof of account and empanelment.
6.     A letter / certificate from the em-paneling or registering department will also act as proof of empanelment.
7.     Combined application from the em-paneling agency will also be accepted provided all the above mentioned conditions are met for each institute.Kindly treat this as important.

Dear Institutes
We have facebook page for making announcement from GSDM.

Now having registered with GSDM and uploaded the data of your candidates it is even in your interest to promote the portal as more the publicity for the portal more will the employment from the portal and hence more people will come to your institute.

The best and easiest way to do is to just send the link to you candidates and ask them to further propagate it.

Requesting for your cooperation in the effort which anyway is meant for better skill development in the state.

Steps to upload the data

Dear All

Kindly note that just by registering you do not get any benefit of the portal, you need to upload the data as explained below to get some real benefit out of the portal.
The data uploading is very simple and involves just following simple steps:
  1. Downlaod from the link.
  2. Go through the help page in the excel file. It explains the process in detail. The help is both in english and Gujarati. 
  3. Basically you have to enter details in just two sheets. In the "Institute_course_list" sheet , enter the list of courses that you are offering in your institute / college. In the "Candidate_list" page enter the list of candidates for each course.
  4. Once the sheet is ready then login with your institute id from the home page on  . You will be automatically taken to the home page of the institutes module. Click on       6 : Bulk Upload of Course & Candidate List (Combined) and upload the sheet through the page that opens subsequently.
  5. The data will be automatically added to the relevant tables and will be visible on the home page immediately. Kindly note that if you want your candidates to be added to online directory then kindly provide the mobile numbers against the candidates. They will be automatically added to online directory. 
  6. In case of any problem / query kindly contact the help desk 
Also, kindly note that susequently you also need to update the "training status" and "Employment status" promptly as and when it changes. If the training status the candidate is not updated to "Trained and test passed" then he will not receive job notification.Further if you do not update the employment status of the candidates regularly then the employability index of your institute will not improve and hence may lower your ranking compared to others who are updating it regularly. Kindly note you can change the employment status even if the candidate is placed by means other than this job portal. The updation of employment status is also very easy. You have to just upload a scanned copy of the employment letter and link it to the candidate. Kindly note a common employment letter can be linked to more than one candidate also.
You may also note that it is ultimately your employability index that will bring more candidates to your institute with or without skill voucher so you will have to take every step to keep it as high as possible.
The portal has got many useful features which may not be apparent at the first sight like job-portal and on-line directory facilities. So you are requested to go through FAQ in detail. It will help you to understand the concept and you will be able to get the maximum benefit of the portal. Further, the more the popularity of the portal the more employers will register and hence more the employment chances of your candidates. So you may actually help  yourself by publicizing the portal !!!

Gujarat Skill Development Facility proudly announce the launch of a facility where any one can find even a skilled person of day to day use.
